Material choices

Found a tile you love? Let’s make sure it works for your home.

If you’ve ever stood in a tile showroom wondering where to start, you’re not alone. There are a lot of choices. My job is to help you work through them and find something that suits your home, your plans, and the way you live.

You can shop anywhere and install with us.

You don’t have to buy from a particular showroom to work with me. If you’ve already found something you like, send it over. A product name, a link, or a photo of the sample is a good place to start. We can discuss whether it suits the space and what the installation would involve.

If you haven’t chosen anything yet, that’s fine too. Tell me about the room, what you like, and what you’d like to change. We’ll take it from there.

Let’s look at the whole room.

A small sample is useful, but it doesn’t show the whole picture. I like to consider the surrounding floors, cabinets, lighting, and the way one space leads into the next. Size, layout, grout color, and the finishing edges deserve a conversation before anything is ordered.

We’ll also talk about where the material will be installed and how you want to look after it. The exact product needs to be suitable for that use. A beautiful finish should be a choice you feel comfortable living with.

We can visit the showrooms together.

I have good connections with showrooms in the Venice and Sarasota area, and we can arrange to visit them together. That gives us a chance to compare materials in person, ask useful questions, and narrow the choices down without rushing.

Natural stone care is worth discussing at this stage. The Natural Stone Institute explains that an impregnating treatment can improve resistance to staining, but it does not make stone stain-proof. I’ll help you identify the questions to ask the supplier about the particular stone and its care.

You don’t need all the answers before getting in touch.

Photos and rough measurements are helpful, but they aren’t a requirement for starting a conversation. We can arrange a visit to your property and work through the decisions together. My aim is to give you clear, practical guidance so you can move forward with confidence.

Let’s talk about your space.

Send a few photographs, a question, or the beginning of an idea. I’ll help you work out the next step.
